Bil i Oslo is the official application provided by the city of Oslo for managing various car-related services. The app allows users to pay for public parking, handle studded tire fees, and receive alerts regarding temporary diesel vehicle bans.

When it comes to parking, users only pay for the actual parking time without any extra charges. An ongoing parking session can be ended or extended at any time, within the limits of the specific parking zone. Payment is processed once the parking period ends or is manually stopped. To enhance user experience, the app offers automatic parking zone suggestions based on GPS location and includes a map feature for navigation and manual zone selection. However, users must always adhere to the parking regulations displayed on street signs.

The app also features a map of all public handicapped (HC) parking spaces in Oslo. By selecting an HC icon on the map, users can get driving directions. In the city center, real-time availability of HC parking spaces is provided. Users are reminded to drive safely and comply with rules regarding mobile device usage while driving.

For studded tires, daily, monthly, or seasonal fees can be paid via the app. The daily fee is valid for 24 hours, the monthly fee for the current month, and the seasonal fee can be canceled with a refund for the unused period. A seasonal fee can be transferred to another vehicle once.

Users can create a profile to store payment card and vehicle registration details for efficient transactions. Multiple payment methods and vehicles can be added, and users can switch between them easily. The app also supports email receipts for transactions and allows users to request a monthly summary of past receipts. Additionally, users can contact The Agency for Urban Environment directly through the app.

Bil i Oslo is compatible with iPhone and Android devices and supports both Norwegian and English. Please note that Eurocard payments are not currently accepted. The app will continue to be updated with more features and services for Oslo drivers in the future.
