HKHiking Trail HK is a dedicated mobile application designed for hiking enthusiasts in Hong Kong. It offers comprehensive support for both planning and navigating trails across the region.
The Android version includes an offline map and features over 100 pre-loaded hiking trails. Key functionalities include route drawing, sharing, calculating route length, elevation gain/loss, time estimation, GPS positioning, a compass, track logging, and deviation alerts.
The Wear OS version is optimized for smartwatches and supports offline maps, route editing, GPS, compass, track logging, and alerts. However, due to screen size limitations, it does not include built-in trails. Users can transfer routes from their phone or create/edit them directly on the watch. All functions operate independently without a phone connection, except for initial route transfers.
Before hiking, users can plan routes using the drawing tool, assess difficulty via elevation profiles, and estimate required time. During hikes, the offline map remains accessible without data connection, and deviation alerts help prevent users from getting lost.
The app offers a one-time purchase or annual subscription to unlock trial features and remove ads, applicable both in-app and on the website.
