TV Cast for Roku is the number one web video streaming app that allows you to cast web videos, online movies, live streams, and TV shows directly to your Roku device. It supports various video formats including MP4, M3U8, HLS live streams, HTTPS videos, and Full HD playback. You can also control your Roku using the built-in remote feature within the app.
Please note that this app only works with compatible Roku streaming devices. The following Roku players are supported: Roku TV, Roku Streaming Stick, Roku Express, Roku Premiere, Roku Ultra, Roku 2, Roku 3, Roku 4, Roku HD (2500), Roku LT (2400+2450), and Telstra TV. Ensure that your device is running firmware version 5.1 or later.
The following devices are not supported: Roku classic models (N1000, N1050, N1100, N1101), Roku 2000, 2050, 2100, Now TV Stick & Box, and Sky Ticket Stick.
Please be aware that DRM-protected videos (e.g., Google Play movies, Netflix, Amazon, HBO) and Flash videos are not supported. It is recommended to test video compatibility using the free version of the app before upgrading, as purchasing the premium version will not enable casting for unsupported content.
This app does not mirror your entire Android device screen—it only casts the video portion of a website to your Roku. To cast a video, simply enter the video URL in the browser address bar or play the video on your device for the app to detect and cast it.
If you encounter connection issues, try restarting your Android device, Roku, and Wi-Fi router. For security, this app requests minimal permissions and does not access personal data such as identity, accounts, device ID, phone status, GPS location, or contacts.
Refunds are only available within 24 hours of purchase and require a Google Purchase ID.
Quick Start Guide:
1. Open the app and wait until the red icon turns white, indicating that your Roku is detected.
2. Use the browser to search for a video or enter a video URL directly.
3. Wait for the video link to appear below the browser. If it doesn’t, try playing the video locally in full-screen mode.
4. Tap "Tap here to cast" to start streaming.
5. Enjoy your content!
